Arkansas Aikikai
Aikido in the River Valley was mainly started by an instructor named James Jones Sensei in the early-90s. His dojo developed the first student base in the area and followed the national instructor Fumio Toyoda. Our current Dojo-cho (leader of the school) began training under Jones Sensei in 2004, and took over the school around 2014. The name Aikikai means training group and reflects the schools philosophy that everyone, student and instructor, has something to offer in helping learn the martial art.
Aikido World Alliance
The Aikido World Alliance is the national organization through which we get our rank certified. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, the organization is lead by Andrew Sato Shihan (teacher of teachers).
